Edi Frommenwiler had no ship-building experience before he and his wife Ella embarked on a personal quest to construct Pindito in 1992. For twelve years, they single-handedly pioneered travel to what is now known to be the most important place on Earth for marine conservation – the heart of the Coral Triangle.

Pindito continues this spirit of discovery. Twenty two times a year guests join expeditions, sharing the chance to explore some famous and also, lesser known reefs and islands of eastern Indonesia.

Expedition Trip Reports

These are reports written for my guests. They are lavishly illustrated with photos from the trips and stories about the wildlife we see, and the powerful way they connect with landscapes. I lead three trips every year and you are welcome to join me. For further information, head to my expeditions pages here.

All my underwater photos are taken using a Fantasea housing from www.underwater.com.au. For more information on the setup, visit https://simonmustoe.blog/what-camera-do-i-use-for-underwater/
